Hi everybody, so it has been a while since my last uploaded mix (some months!) but life needs time, and so on..
By the way, I'm back and I hope to be more active from now on.
Some changes: language will be english only, tracklist is clearly attached, and hosting by soundcloud.com. But you can still download it :)

A new mix here, as always a ten track one, vinyl only, starting off from some deep, mid'90 techno stuff, and going somewhere else during the mix.

First mix by a guest..  when I heard this mix made by my Belgian fella Franco Cangelli, I was positively struck by his choice of tracks, and the consequent feeling the whole carried.
So, even if it was not scheduled for my blog, I decided to ask him to publish it, and finally here it is.
Quite different from past entries, but full of music I like as well.. and hey, good music is good music, and inspiration is always welcomed.

Primo ospite del mio blog.
In realtà ciò non è stato programmato, ma quando ho sentito il mixato in questione, a opera di Franco Cangelli, produttore e dj belga, sono stato colpito dalla scelta delle tracce e dal feeling creato dalle stesse, che ho deciso di chiederglielo per la pubblicazione online.
Stilisticamente diverso dai mixati precedenti, contiene tuttavia molta musica che amo, e alla fine la buona musica è buona musica, e l'ispirazione è sempre la benvenuta.

As you may already know, me and my mate xluve will fly to Glasgow on February 7th to play a live gig!

The guys who are hosting us in their monthly night (Slabs Of The Tabernacle) also asked me to provide a dj mix for their blog... what else could have i done if not droppin' a deep Detroit techno rooted journey thru my fave records! So I throw in some classics, some more recent pieces, some fitting tracks from both side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Come molti già sapranno, il 7 febbraio io e xluve saremo a Glasgow a presentare il nostro live!

I ragazzi che ci ospitano durante la loro serata mensile (Slabs Of The Tabernacle) mi hanno anche chiesto di preparare un mixato per il loro blog. Un'ottima occasione per mettere insieme un bel viaggio attaverso il versante deep/Detroit Techno che tanto mi ha dato e continua a darmi.

Hello everybody,
some coincidences happened.
Some days ago i made a mix, quite dark, slow, weird, and definitely sad.
Of course, it wasn't a nice time inspiring it.
But i didn't put it online, waiting for better times.

Today:
- a friend sent me a really great song (the first you'll hear)
- i'm quite chilling and positive
- it's Christmas day
So. Why not put things together, ehehe..

So i made this mix. Some old stuff, some great tunes from 2008 (go check DAM FUNK's stuff, i love it!). Quite positive and melodic, i really liked it and decided to share it with you, folks.

Ciao a tutti,
sono successe alcune coincidenze.
Alcuni giorni fa avevo messo insieme un mixato, scuro, introspettivo e dichiaratamente triste. Ispirato dal tempo in cui era stato realizzato.
Ma decisi di non metterlo online, in vista di tempi migliori.

Oggi:
- un amico mi ha mandato questa traccia bellissima (quella che apre il mixato)
- sto abbastanza bene d'animo
- è pure Natale
Quindi ho deciso di approfittarne e ho realizzato questo mixato.
Roba vecchia, roba nuova (tra cui straconsiglio DAM FUNK, un tizio che mi manda fuori). E' uscito un mixato pacifico, melodico e positivo, che ho deciso di condividere con voi.

Buon ascolto, e buon anno se non riesco a postare niente fino al 2009.

Since I don't feel really good lately, driven by frustration for things I have put together a mix of some oblique, sometimes sick, always inspired, techno.
Very dense, oversounding, hyperstructured, unexpected... just like the mind is.

the conclusion was quite unexpected anyway.

so, positive weirdness to cure some negative weirdness.
let's see if it works.


ah yeah, sorry for the raw mixing, really not my day, ah!

Visto che non è propriamente il miglior periodo che stia passando, un po' con la frustrazione del momento ho messo insieme un mixato con techno obliqua, a volte un po' strana, sempre e comunque ispirata.
Densa, piena, complessa, inaspettata... come la mente, a volte.

e la conclusione è stata inaspettata anche per me.

quindi, stranezza positiva per curare stranezza negativa.
(anche se l'inglese "weirdness" è molto più efficace come sostantivo, "stranezza" è proprio brutto...)

so, ladies and gentleman, here's the second mix after a looooong time (okokok, work'n'so on).

a bit moodier this time, more electronic, sometimes intense and deep, sometimes vacuus and reflective.. and a bit...uhm... the sensations who inspired me to do this are difficult to explain. just maybe heart-twisting and brain-tricking.

From Blackmatter to Starlight: like it is, black electronic matter, from dark mind spaces, to luminous deep grooves. and back.

e quindi: secondo mixato dopo mooolto tempo, per le solite ragioni di questo mondo.

questa volta il mood è più riflessivo, elettronico, a volte intenso e profondo, a volte vacuo e opalescente... le sensazioni che mi hanno spinto a scegliere queste tracce sono abbastanza difficili da spiegare. e come si legge sopra/meglio in inglese, strizzacuore e "insinua-cavatappi" nel cervello. mah.

Blackmatter>>Starlight.. perchè così è, materia elettronica nera, da (senti)menti oscuri a profondi solchi luminosi.

here's sunny, i come from a 3 days weekend, during which i did nothing except listening to records and making music.
so, i delivered a sunny easy mix for you to burn and put in your car for the spring mornings.

so here we are, just a small note to tell you that I created this blog just to share some mixes done by myself, with two turntables and a mixer (so almost vinyl only!) where I want to underline the SELECTION, not much the technique (but yeah, I hope not to suck that much eheh).
So I do this mainly to share the music I like, the music I play when djing, and the music I don't play when I dj as well ;)
I won't speak about music styles, in general, since I prefer to call it good music, and that's it.
just add my passion in doin' the whole shit and you got the whole picture!

primo post giusto per dire che ho creato questo blog principalmente per postare mixati fatti da me, principalmente realizzati con due piatti e un mixer (quindi vinile vinile vinile), dove l'attenzione sarà puntata sulla selezione, non tanto sulla tecnica (però dai me la cavo), quindi principalmente per condividere la musica che mi piace, che metto nelle serate, e quelle che non metto..eheh.

..non nominerei i generi che (tra)scorreranno per ovvi motivi (definire è limitare).
solo buona musica e passione nel proporla!
